Goals Planning: the goal is retirement, but there are things sometimes before this and during retirement that are specific to you and your family. We will help put pen to paper and detail those goals into a timeline that we can start to work towards. This can be simple but deserves to be personalised to you.

Superannuation/Pension account and strategy review: we will make sure your superannuation/pension and the underlying investments are the right ones for you. Then make the most of what you have with a straightforward contribution and/or pension account strategy.

Insurance product and strategy review: for some, insurance is no longer required, and for others, it is most imperative in the later years. With a detailed analysis of your needs, we advise on the right product and strategy mix while keeping premium costs in mind.

Cashflow Plan: the kitchen table is at the core of anyone’s cashflow plan. We get to know the ins and outs of the ‘kitchen table’ and help tweak it with a simple-to-follow plan to make sure a dollar isn’t being wasted and you maintain a comfortable emergency buffer.

Retirement Income and Asset Projections: this works in conjunction with your goals planning and the initial advice and strategies. We provide detailed projections to show you what your expected level of income in retirement can be at certain ages and your estate value at life expectancy.

Detailed Estate Plan: thinking about what happens after you pass or become incapacitated can be a bit scary. Starting with a clear family tree so we know where everyone sits, we work with you to ensure your current arrangements are up to date and align with your and your family’s circumstances. We can provide these details to your solicitor or help arrange one to get the right documentation in place.

Our Advice Process

  • 1. Engagement

It all starts with the first meeting; you can book this via our website and pick a time and date that suits you. You will receive a confirmation email with some important documents to read over and a link to our initial questionnaire for you to complete before our meeting. This will give us a brief overview of your circumstances so we can prepare and get into the nuts and bolts of it with you.

  • 2. Initial Meeting - 2 Weeks

As a formal ‘Hello,’ during this 1-hour meeting we will have an in-depth discussion about your financial goals and circumstances. We will have prepared some initial projections and strategy ideas to discuss and will answer any of your questions. After this, we will confirm the scope and fees for the year. You will have the option to engage or think more on it. When you engage us, the fees will be charged monthly and commence the following month.

  • 3. Goals. Super and everything else

After the initial meeting, we will begin getting a rundown of your existing products, which may take a few weeks to complete. We then organise a follow-up meeting to talk through the particulars of your circumstances, plan out your goals, review your investment risk tolerance, and any other details we need to get started on a plan for you.

  • 4. Research and Development—2-4 Weeks

Our initial plan begins by evaluating possible alternative strategies to determine which is appropriate to your needs and financial goals. From there, we deep dive into the products and strategy mix, working towards your goals as our guiding post, and wrap it all together in a Statement of Advice that details all the ins and outs, benefits, implications, fees, and steps involved.

  • 5. Advice Presentation

Depending on the complexity, we may deliver the advice in stages, focusing on the most important area first and then moving to the next.

Together we go through each recommendation in detail, explaining each of the benefits and the implications of the advice. We aim to provide you with information and educate you about the strategies and products recommended so you not only know but also understand the ‘what’ and ‘why.’ Because at the end of the day, it is your money and retirement, and we are advising on how to manage it.

  • 6. Implementation

Once you are happy with our recommendations, we put them to work. We will pull together the paperwork and complete the implementation for you. There may be a few things for you to do, but we will take care of the heavy lifting.
