“Hi, my name is Karlita-Jo Holland; my husband is Rod Holland.
Rod was diagnosed with Frontal Lobe Dementia in June 2017 after we had purchased a very large, expensive vineyard and property in the Mudgee area.
I was telling our farm insurance agent the dilemma we were in and they told me to contact the Luka Group as they would be helpful informing us of our options, she said the Luka Group were very professional and very good in helping people like us.

Due to the varying stages to Rod’s illness, we were able to claim on Rod’s Income Protection and TPD policies which helped immensely with our mortgage repayments and the running of the vineyard and took the financial strain off us so we could enjoy what time we have together. Just recently Charles also helped us in receiving Rod’s Life Insurance as he his condition is now a terminal illness. This allowed us to pay off all our debt and spend more time with our children and grandchildren.
We have learned a lot from Charles, firstly that having the right insurance in place would have helped us immensely but also using the right person when setting up the cover would have meant we would have had the right level of cover and had it structured appropriately. “My wife and I are in our early 40s, we have 3 children and own and operate a farming business. Based on our family and business situation, Charles Agnew, our advisor at Luka Group set us up with Life, TPD and Trauma insurances.
